Terms of service
For customers outside the UK and Europe. Terms for the UK and Europe.
These terms are an agreement between you and Rekainos Inc. ("we", "us") for using Rekainos Labs, our studio at labs.rekainos.org. By creating an account you accept them. If you use Rekainos Labs for a business, you accept them on its behalf.
The service
Rekainos Labs turns scripts into speech and produces related audio, images and video using AI models. Results can vary, and AI can make mistakes, so please listen to and check what you make before you publish it. Features marked "coming soon" aren't part of any plan until they launch.
Your account
You must be 18 or older. Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at support@rekainos.org if you think someone else has used it.
Plans, credits and payment
- Each plan gives a monthly allowance of credits, shown as minutes of speech. Allowances reset each month and don't carry over.
- Top-ups are kept until you use them, while your account is open.
- Paid plans renew automatically each month until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep your plan until the end of the month you've paid for.
- Generations that fail are refunded in credits automatically. Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. A change applies from your next renewal after the notice.

Refunds
Except where the law requires otherwise, payments aren't refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop future charges.
What you own
You own the scripts and material you bring, and, as between you and us, the audio, images and video you make. On paid plans you may use them commercially. Free-plan creations are for personal use. You give us permission to store and process your material only to run the service for you.
Rekainos voices are ours. You may use the audio they produce as allowed by your plan, but you may not use our audio to recreate, clone or train a model on a Rekainos voice.
Voices and consent
You may clone only your own voice, or the voice of someone who has agreed and records the consent statement in their own voice. Never use the studio to pass off audio as a real person who hasn't agreed to it.
What you must not do
- Impersonate a real person, or create audio or video meant to deceive people about who is speaking.
- Make content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving real people, or that exploits children.
- Create misleading content about elections, public health or emergencies, or scams and fraud.
- Infringe anyone's copyright, trademarks or other rights, including by narrating books you don't have the right to narrate.
- Break, overload, reverse-engineer or resell the service, or get around plan limits.
Where the law requires AI-generated media to be labelled, you're responsible for labelling what you publish. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
If you think something made with Rekainos Labs uses your voice without consent, impersonates you or infringes your rights, report it to abuse@rekainos.org and we'll act quickly.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Rekainos Labs running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may improve or change features; if we remove something central to your paid plan, you may cancel and get a pro-rata refund for the unused part of the month.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, we aren't liable for loss of profit, business or data, or for indirect losses, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, or £100 / $100 if greater.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with notice where we reasonably can.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Delaware, and disputes go to the state and federal courts in Delaware, unless the law where you live gives you the right to go to court there.
